Hi! 👋 I’m Jacob Kim.

Ever since I was a child, I've had a deep fascination with computers. My first ”Hello world” was when I was 14, and I’ve been hooked ever since. I majored in Computer Science at the University of California, San Diego. I’m currently a software engineer at Krafton in Seoul, South Korea.

I started my career as a data engineer at a startup in Seoul. When I joined Krafton, I was the first data engineer for the new mobile game, PUBG: New State. As the team grew, I managed a team of data engineers for two years. My team was responsible for building a robust and scalable data pipeline and cloud infrastructure for PUBG: New State. This experience provided me with valuable insights into distributed systems and team management.

I have moved on to a new role as a software engineer, and I’m currently working on a new game. This project aligns perfectly with my interest in blockchain technology and Web 3.0. I firmly believe that, beyond the hype and frenzy, blockchain technology harbors the potential to revolutionize the world. I’m excited to see where this new journey takes me.

I occasionally mumble about nerdy stuff on my blog.
