I've always been too emotional when it comes to investing. See my ESOP post if you're curious how I lost so much money investing emotionally in Krafton's ESOP. I consider myself a rational person, but when it comes to money, I get emotional. Not sure what that's about.

From now on, I want to be rational and logical about all my investments. I figure that just recording them publicly will help me start making better decisions.

Today, I'm going to buy some Anthropic shares. Devs on Twitter love to shit on Claude and Claude Code, and claim that Codex is superior. But Claude Opus is a damn good model. Codex and Claude have different personalities, and I don't think one model will completely steamroll the other.

The people at Anthropic are innovators. They've shown that AI at its current capability shines in B2B, and they ship product at an insane pace too — Claude Code, Claude Cowork, Claude Law, Claude in Excel, Claude in Chrome, the list goes on. I believe OpenAI shut down Sora, their AI slop video app, to pivot toward being more like Anthropic. OpenAI was wrong about B2C adoption of AI, and Anthropic was right to focus on software developers first. I expect them to keep being right more often than not.

I wish I had bought Anthropic shares every time I renewed my Claude Code subscription.
